After working with Midway and MaRs on the lobby of the George, they brought us back in for custom architectural metalwork, furniture and design elements for Porter's Steakhouse in College Station, TX.
We took MaRs' concept drawings of the space and designed and built many key elements including a 12' tall shop-made shou sugi ban cypress and steel front door with a custom leather wrapped pull, a 1200-bottle capacity oak, steel and glass wine display and storage system, several steel-and-glass dividing walls for private dining rooms, a custom butcher-style i-beam ticket conveyor system, a 16' chef's table with butcher station, a fire pit, several outdoor tables, a bank of 20 liquor lockers, a host stand and entry accent wall piece using end grain blocks and plasma cut butcher knives and a custom acid-etched and laser cut brass pedestrian sign.
All on a tight timeline and 2 hour drive from our shop.
We survived the Steakening!
